How you know when your art is good: it tricks facial recognition software iu_180326_6930308.jpg

The strangest thing about fighting the darkness is it's the only thing that loves me. I'm pushing away the only thing that wants to take my pain away and make me feel better.iu_180269_6930308.jpg

I think I may be in a mental illness episode. The general attitude of people seems to be that I can just will it away, just choose to not be crazy. This never seems to work. I scheduled a call from human services through their website so I can finally get help, but it was supposed to happen 46 minutes ago. Last time they actually called, but never even bothered speaking during the call. I could even hear them breathing and shuffling papers. This makes no sense. Why wouldn't they help me get treatment for my mental illness? Why would the government want to make my mental illness worse, by depriving me of help, rather than better?iu_180229_6930308.jpg

iu_179508_6930308.gifSorry about how shakey the second closer up one turned out. I don't have anyone helping me because America really sucks in that regard, and I only have one hand and a brain injury. I still haven't figured out how to use the zoom function on my fancy expensive new camera in Dragonframe, and trying to hold the smartphone in the same position through 24 shots with an amputated hand and a brain injury is a bit difficult. If I would've had help I could've produced much better results, but I'm stuck in America, so forced to do what I can without assistance. Which I think still was a rather good result, but would've been a lot better if we didn't have such an a-hole society. I'm certain I'll figure out a way to suspend the camera in a fixed position above the drawings eventually, necessity is the mother of invention after all. I think that's the American attitude that justifies our a-holeness: adversity breeds resilience, so watching the crippled handicap struggle and overcome makes me stronger, even though my life could ne much, much better with the help and care I'm always finding myself deprived of.

iu_179505_6930308.gifFirst attempt, shot on twos. My tripod is too tall and desk space was too small to properly zoom in, but the corner holders stabilizing the image worked wonderfully with the camera in a fixed position. Going to try it again but figure out a way to shoot it closer.

iu_179378_6930308.gifCurrent progress. Thinking take a break and get some food, do one more frame, then shoot. Might go with Dragonframe instead of phone, not certain yet.
